About The Job

Conduct BU and brand analytics to support the company in driving sustainable, profitable growth in BU. Perform analysis to identify trade & marketing investment opportunities and enhancements, including ROI analysis. Derive insights from analysis and use insights to shape the brand and portfolio stories. Provide the organization with competitive analysis to ensure that everyone has a deep understanding of the competitive landscape. Provide the business intelligence for given BU/products to the sales team to create and develop customer plans.
• KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Perform data analysis to inform & influence the company decisions
• Extract relevant data from a variety of sources, including retail data, consumer & shopper Insights & Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs & and develop a customized reporting and analysis of category information incl. share evolution

• Provide the organization with competitive tools to monitor business performance Develop efficient Market Share report, create brand pricing and promotion summary report
• Run comprehensive competitive analysis to provide the organization with context around what is happening in the market
• Work with Sales & Finance organization on PRGM implementation
• Develop Tools for post-promotion / activation evaluation to understand effectiveness of each spent (ROI), and learn how to reallocate investment to events with higher return on investment
• Support Marketing & Financial team on quantitative Ad’hoc research (shopper research / Brand Tracker / HHP)

Convert analytical findings into insights
• Support marketing and Trade Marketing Manager in developing the brand/BU story by providing fact-based insights and data
• Provide business intelligence for specific BU/products. Be part of cross functional team in the areas of innovations Work closely with the Marketing & Sales teams to identify volume opportunity & track performance.
• Partner with senior management on Long Term financial equation converting company strategy and overall Market & Market share projections
• Feed GPS process with fact-based opportunities
• Evaluate trade & activation efficiency (ROI) at the brand/business event level

Efficient and effective vendor management
• Managing agency relationships and research budgets, and identifying opportunities for optimization;
• Ensuring the ideal methodologies, generating reliable data at the best and right cost with continuous work on cost minimization measures.
• Challenging research agencies to guarantee high quality standards on outputs delivered in a timely manner;
• Actively negotiate with agencies to manage costs whilst achieving high quality outputs.
• Work proactively to ensure all marketing projects are driven by research, insight, and analytics

About you

Academic And Trade Qualifications
• Relevant Bachelor’s qualification is essential, but a Bachelor of Business Science is preferable

Work Experience And Skills
• At least 4 years’ experience in Strategy & Insight function of which 2 years previous experience in sales or marketing experience within FMCG industry
• Analytical skills and ability to analyze large amounts of data
• Highly proficient excel skills (Pivot Tables, v-lookups, macros)
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, including superior communication skills (written and verbal)
• Understands the external environment (competitive and market) and identifies new sources of opportunity.
• Interrogates data to identify growth levers.
• Leverages analytical rigor to correlate data from a variety of sources and to synthesis conclusions, recommendations and implications
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritise to manage work requirements effectively
